Meet Recap: Natalie is your 2025 Powerlifting America 57kg National Champion! It was by no means a smooth and easy prep, but Natalie proved once again her ability to push through adversity, and got the job done! Natalie was able to finish the day with a 363lb. squat, 248lb. bench press, and a 451lb. deadlift for a 1063lb. total! Bench press was the small PR on the day, and we went a bit conservative just to guarantee that. But I am excited with where that can be pushed by Worlds. Natalie was cutting over the last 3-4 months into this meet, and in typical fashion she weighed in super light, so a calorie uptick is coming and that should only help bench even further! For squat and deadlift, we took what we needed, But after getting back to things being pain free within the past couple weeks, almost every session we have been seeing a nice increase. We trained directly into the meet with both of those lifts knowing that every session was only going to help things improve. Squat in particular I know has an immediate 7.5-10kg bump once we fix a bar position issue. You can see on that 3rd squat where it almost rolls off her back and that is where that hard stick came into play. And on deadlift we went conservative just to secure a 480ish total, as we figured that was a safe total to guarantee a spot in the A session at Worlds.
