Meet Recap: Natalie had the opportunity to compete at Sheffield 2024, arguably the biggest stage in powerlifting. And while the pressure and nerves were at an all time high, Natalie per usual came out to compete and execute at the highest level. It was a near perfect day with a 411lb. squat, 242lb. bench press, and a 485lb. deadlift to round out a PR total of 1138lbs! She ended up being just inches away from a 507lb. deadlift that would have possibly secured 5th place and the highest GL score of all time, but just barely missed on grip at the top. All said and done, after I believe 6 deadlifts pull into 5th, Natalie ended the day in 9th place in an incredibly stacked female division at Sheffield. I could have not asked for more from Natalie this prep, as per usual she was on top of every single variable in and out of training and it showed with her continued progress at the highest levels of powerlifting. A big thank you to Matt Gary for handling Natalie on the day, and Sioux-z Gary as well, as all 3 of us were in a group chat through the entirety of the meet giving feedback back and forth.
