Meet Recap: Abigail competed at Rising Tide, where she made her 57kg debut, finishing in 4th place with a 480kg total and 113.65 GL score! Abigail rounded out the day with a 157.5kg squat, 110kg bench press, and a 212.5kg deadlift to go 9 for 9 and tie for the 2nd highest total in the 57kg for the year in the US. Going into the day, we knew it was likely a battle for 3rd place, and it came down to the final pull. That is the 3rd time at a big meet that Abigail has loaded up a final pull for placing at a big meet, and she has nailed all 3! Can always count on her to clutch up when the pressure is on, and even though Madison was able to pull ahead after Abigail hit her final pull, I know those are the moments she competes for! Big thanks to @bradcoolyard for handling Abigail on the day and making the right calls to put her in that position to have a chance to pull for the podium. Abigail had taken almost a year off competing to prioritize some big life events, and it was a great return to competition. This coming year will be a big one, as the battle of the 57s is heating up for Nationals, and I know Abigail is ready to bring her all!
