Meet Recap: After a long meet drought due to the pandemic, Etienne was able to get back on the platform at the FFForce Silent Worker’s meet. Etienne finished the day with a 385lb squat, 264lb bench press and a 540lb deadlift for a meet PR total of 1189lbs! Etienne gets a ton out the taper with his deadlift, which equated to 12.5kg more than his best lift in the gym leading into the meet and was the highlight of the day. We really thought a bit more would be there on bench press based on training, but we had a little trouble with the cut leading into the meet and that may have been the difference in just barely missing 275lbs on his 3rd attempt. Fortunately 264lbs was still a meet PR, but I’m confident next time around he can blow that out of the water.
